Guard John Starks enjoyed a 13-year NBA career which included leading the league in three-pointers (1994 – 95), making an All-Star appearance (1994), and winning the Sixth-Man Award (1997). Starks signed his name and number to the top of the “3” on the jersey’s back in black Sharpie (grade 8 – 9). The front of this Champion Apparel mesh white-with-orange-and blue-trim jersey has the tackle-twill “New York” stitched across the chest. Below is Stark’s number “3.” On the reverse, “Starks” is stitched in tackle-twill blue across the shoulders. The left hip area sports two woven tags, each with two sections: the left tag contains a Knicks logo underscored with Champion, and a Year/Size tag, “Designed & Tailored/95-96/Exclusively For New York Knicks/Body Length +2.” The white right tag contains the Champion insignia and size 44, washing instructions embroidered in blue. Inside the left side seam is the “body Fabric” tag (100% Polyester). Evidence of game use can be found with minor sweat discolorations on the shoulder straps. A LOA from game-worn jersey expert, Dave Miedema, accompanies this item as does a COA from PSA/DNA (#U69410).
