New York Yankees star Gleyber Torres wore this Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders road jersey during the beginning of the 2018 season shortly before being called up to the big club. The former Cubs farmhand joined the Yankees in April of 2018, becoming an instant success alongside Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, Miguel Andujar, and the rest of the young Yankees. Torres finished the 2018 season with 24 homers, 77 RBI, and a healthy .271 batting average. Torres made the American League All-Star team in his rookie season, a rare feat for any young ballplayer.
This Majestic Flex Base size 44 button-down gray jersey has “RAILRIDERS” sewn on across the chest in burgundy, gold and black tackle twill. The Majestic size 44 tag is screen-printed on the bottom front left tail and Torres’ number “7” is sewn on the back in burgundy and black tackle twill. The MiLB patch is sewn on the upper back neck. The left sleeve has the Yankees interlocking “NY” logo sewn on in navy tackle twill. This jersey displays outstanding game use with stains and other game wear. This jersey has been photo matched to the April 12, 2018 game played at BB&T BallPark in Charlotte, North Carolina by Sports Investors Authentication and have provided a LOA (200114C1). Additionally, there is a LOA from the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, authenticating that Torres wore this jersey in 2018.
