After a decade in Boston, 1993 saw Wade Boggs take the field in the pinstripes of the rival New York Yankees. Boggs thrived in the Big Apple, batting .302 in his first New York summer. In 1996 his bat helped the Yankees win the World Series, something that eluded him during his Boston years. Boggs’ Yankee-era Louisville Slugger B349 model bat shows moderate game use. The barrel has ball marks and stitch impressions along with ink transfers and bat rack paint streaks. There is moderate coating of pine tar on the lower barrel and the knob and top barrel has Boggs’ number “12” handwritten in marker. The Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in black marker. A very complete gamer with all the bells and whistles one would desire on a Wade Boggs bat. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B19192) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8.5 and a LOA from JSA for the signature.
