During the February 10, 2007 home game against Wake Forest, the University of North Carolina honored two previous National Championship teams – the 1957 team and the 1982 squad at halftime. Highlighting the return to the Chapel Hill campus was Michael Jordan, whose winning jump shot in the 1982 title game against Georgetown won the championship for the Tar Heels and set his career on an upward trajectory.

Offered here is the very blazer that Jordan wore during that halftime ceremony. This blazer has been photo matched to the February 10th, 2007 halftime event by Resolution Photomatching. This jacket is blue with patterned gold intersecting lines that form squares on the entire suit. A black tag is sewn on the inside that reads “B.D. TAILOR SHOP CHICAGO BY BILL”. The suit is double-breasted with two pockets by the waist with the interior satin lining dark blue. Images online from this February 10, 2007 event show Jordan wearing this exact jacket including an image of Jordan kissing the top of the head of the late Hall of Fame coach Dean Smith. This jacket is in excellent condition with only one blemish on the interior lining.
