Bill Dickey backstopped the Yanks to eight World Series championships between 1928 and 1946. Giving up three seasons to serve his country in WWII, Dickey posted a .313 career BA, 202 HRs, and 1,209 RBI. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1954. Yogi Berra won three AL MVP awards, 13 championships as player or coach, held a .285 career BA with 358 HRs and 1,430 RBI. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1972. This pristine, ash, 34-inch, Cooperstown Bat Co. Famous Player Series bat bears the photographic images of Dickey and Berra and “NY Retired 8, the number shared by both players over 36 seasons. The knob is engraved with “189 of 202.” The handle is encircled with a red band with “202” written in black. Dickey boldly signed on the barrel’s sweet spot in vivid black Sharpie. Likewise, Berra signed to the right of Dickey in vivid blue Sharpie. A COA from PSA/DNA (#T06717) accompanies this item.
