Playing first base in 1985 for the only season of his 18 year career, Mike Schmidt hit .277 with 33 home runs. It was only a taste of what was to come: a year later he won his third career MVP Award and led the NL in home runs and RBI. Schmidt‘s Rawlings Adirondack 154CK bat shows awesome game use and the handle has been cracked. Ball and stitch impressions can be seen on the barrel along with black ink transfers. Green and red bat rack paint streaks are visible and there is a moderate coat of pine tar on the upper handle. Model number “154 CK”, order “092” and year “85” are stamped into the knob end. Schmidt’s number “20” has been hand-written in black marker along with the weight “33” in blue pen. PSA/DNA stickers 1B05740 and U69507 have been affixed to the barrel end. The Hall of Famer has signed the barrel between the Rawlings logo and his endorsement in black marker, which has faded some. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA who have graded this bat GU 8.5.
