The 1969 New York Yankees were a team in transition. Mickey Mantle had just retired, and the team struggled in the newly formed American League Eastern Division. However, 1969 saw the debut of future captain and Yankee legend Thurman Munson, who played his first ever game on August 8th. Offered here is an Official Pro League stamped ball that has been signed by 23 members of the 1969 New York Yankees. All of the signatures on the this cream-colored baseball have been signed in blue pen with Munson’s signature in the middle of the side panel, along with John Ellis, Jerry Kenney, Horace Clark, Ron Woods and Jack Aker. Other signatures include Bobby Murcer, Len Boehmer, Tom Shopay, Al Downing, Ron Klimkowski, Steve Hamilton, Dave McDonald, Fritz Peterson, Bill Burbach, Lindy McDaniel, Jake Gibbs, Gene Michael and others. This ball comes with a LOA from JSA for the signatures. Please note that JSA have deemed the signatures of Mel Stottlemyre and Joe Pepitone clubhouse versions.
