With seven all-star appearances, a National League Most Valuable Player Award, and over 600 career home runs, Sammy Sosa is without question one of the greatest sluggers of the past 25 years. "Slammin Sammy" had his first 40 home run season in 1996 as he began a streak that would see him hit at least 40 home runs in seven of the next eight seasons.

This Rawlings Big Stick 256B model bat was used by Sosa during the 1996 season. This bat displays outstanding use and has a crack on the handle. There is some checking or grain swelling on the barrel from repeated ball contact, along white leather scuffs. The end of the knob has been taped and covers the knob to enhance the grip.
