Roger Clemens won his seventh Cy Young award in 2004 at the venerable age of 41, compiling an 18-4 record with a 2.98 ERA and 9.2 strikeouts per nine innings for the Houston Astros. In May of 2004, Clemens passed Steve Carlton to move into second place in the all-time strikeouts leaderboard. At the end of the season, Clemens became the oldest player to win the Cy Young award and the fourth to win the hallowed award in both leagues.

Offered in this lot is a pair of Adidas cleats worn by Clemens during his historic 2004 campaign. The black cleats feature three red Adidas stripes on each side of the shoe and the Texas Longhorns logo embroidered on the tongues. Clemens’ number “22” is embroidered on both heels in red and white numerals. These size 13 cleats come with a LOA from J.T. Sports.
