This five-cent, coin-operated baseball game is equipped with a lever that actually fires a newly inserted nickel upward onto the vertical game board. The nickel then falls into one of a variety of slots, with the labeling of the landing point determining whether the player has made a hit, an out or a home run. Measuring about 17" x 22" x 10-1/2", the free-standing machine is wood-encased with gorgeous stadium-and-player graphics that give the glass front a beautiful vintage look. The game appears to be in working order, and its playing rules and scoring instructions are posted in the top corners of the front panel. The painted exterior displays normal wear commensurate with its age and use, including a smattering of generally inoffensive abrasions, scratches and nicks. The interior game board remains nicely preserved, retaining bright and vibrant colors.
