For over 20 years Kirby Puckett wielded one of the most devastating bats in the American League. In 1991, one of the seasons this bat dates to, Puckett almost single-handedly won the World Championship for his Minnesota Twins. Puckett was a 10-time All-Star, 5-time Silver Slugger Award winner and 7-time runner-up for the AL MVP Award. In 2001 all those numbers added up to a plaque in Cooperstown for Puckett.
This offered Louisville Slugger P116 model bat displays outstanding use and has a crack on the handle. There are ball marks and stitch impressions can be seen along with black streaks from contact with other bats and checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact present on the back barrel. Puckett's number "34" is handwritten in black marker. This is a great gamer from this Hall of Famer's finest years and it comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B19195) who have graded this bat a near-perfect GU 9.
