Despite the many additions to the 500 Home Run club in recent years, Mike Schmidt’s 548 dingers still rank 16th on the all-time list. Schmidt led the National League in home runs eight times, hitting a career-high 48 in 1980 and had his last great season in 1987 when he hit 35 home runs with 113 RBI at a .293 clip.
This offered home Philadelphia Phillies white with maroon pinstriped button-down jersey was worn by Schmidt during the 1987 season. This size 44 Rawlings jersey has the 1970’s/80’s Phillies-style “P” sewn on the left chest in maroon tackle twill, with Schmidt’s number “20” sewn on in maroon tackle twill on the right chest. The Rawlings size 44 tag with a “SET 1 1987” flag and white tag with “SCMIDT” in maroon are sewn on the inside back collar. The back of this jersey has “SCHMIDT” sewn on in maroon tackle twill on a white nameplate and below is Schmidt’s number “20” sewn on in maroon tackle twill. The sleeves and sides have a vertical maroon stripe and the left sleeve has an era-correct Phillies logo patch. This jersey displays light game use with puckering on the twill letters and numbers, along with loose threads and evidence of laundering. This comes with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (200614E4) for the game use.
