In 1972 the Oakland Athletics began the first great baseball dynasty of the 1970s. They won World Series in 1972, 1973, and 1974, riding an incredible pitching staff and a scrappy band of hitters led by Reggie Jackson to nigh-unprecedented success. In 1972, both of the A’s playoff series went the distance, with a 3-2 series victory over the Detroit Tigers preceding a seven-game victory over the Cincinnati Reds in the World Series. With the exception of Game 6, an 8-1 Reds victory, each game in the World Series was decided by one run.
Offered here is a Charles O. Finley Oakland A’s pendant celebrating the 1972 World Champion Athletics. This 14K gold pendant has a large emerald stone in the center with “OAKLAND A’s WORLD CHAMPIONS”, “19” and “72” in raised relief on the outside and “14K” and the Jostens logo stamped on the side. The opposite side is gold with a baseball serving as its circle and “A’s” in green in the center of the baseball. “Charles O. Finley” is engraves along the bottom. This pendant does not have a chain and it comes with a custom blue box.
