Michael Jordan & Summer Premium Auction Closing July 18 10PM Eastern
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 7/18/2020
Michael Jordan is considered one of, if not the greatest basketball player to ever live. Jordan also dabbled in baseball, leaving basketball following this third straight NBA title with the Chicago Bulls following the 1993 season. However, it can be argued that golf is his greatest sports passion. Jordan is avid golfer and didn’t start playing until his junior season had just concluded at North Carolina with an upset loss to Indiana in the East Regional semi-final. It just so happened that one of the people that got him introduced to the game was PGA Pro Davis Love III, who was a sophomore at UNC in 1984. After Jordan played his first round that spring, he was hooked, and has been playing ever since.
Offered here is a large over-sized Wilson Staff Titanium golf bag that was personally used by Michael Jordan. This bag is red and white with “Wilson” printed in black along the side pocket and “Staff TITANIUM” printed in black on the front, along with a “Michael Jordan Golf” logo. A “KINGSMILL RESORT” metal bag tag is hooked on the top and on the back of that tag is engraved “Home of the P.G.A. Tour’s Michelob Championship at KINGSMILL 54 Holes of Championship Golf Richard Cromwell Director of Golf Curtis Strange Touring Professional”. This bag is in great condition and ready to hit the links! This comes with a LOA from the Jordan Golf Company that states he used this bag during the Richard Dent Golf Tournament in 1998.
