Graded GD+ 2.5 by PSA. Hall of Famer, in his debut-year appearance on Topps gum cards. Presented is an icon of the collecting hobby, in the form of the universally desired '52 Topps depiction of Mickey Mantle. This example reveals sound coloration in its all-important player image: the great slugger's likeness is bright, the azure-blue background hue is clear, and the isolated effects of scuffing (associated with a single inconspicuous, vertical wrinkle) are confined to the cardfront's bottom half. The back is clean with unimpaired legibility, and the corners show wear consistent with the piece's assigned grade. This is a tempting and suitably intact piece that's ideal for the collector-grade 1952 Topps set which so many enthusiasts aspire to complete. Good-plus condition.
