The great journeymen brought his arm to Boston in 2005. Taking his hero Babe Ruth’s number “3”, Wells started off terrible. Perhaps a bit superstitious, the big lefty changed his number to “16” and instantly regained his command on the mound. The Louisville Slugger TPX Pro pitcher’s glove shows light game use. The glove is the large 13” version, constructed of cream-colored leather. The laces are intact and unrestored and all labels are in place. “Boomer #3” (his nickname and the number of his hero, Babe Ruth) and number “36” (36th glove made for him) have been embroidered in black. Wells has signed the glove along the pocket webbing adding his number “16” (meaning this glove was produced after his uniform number change) and “GAMER 2005” in black Sharpie (9/10). Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
