Former Major League pitcher Ramiro Mendoza “El Brujo” (The Witch Doctor) had a solid season in 2000 where he went 7-4 with a 4.25 ERA. Mendoza wore this Yankees road jersey during the 2000 regular season. This offered jersey is a gray button-down, with a black memorial armband for former Yankees’ manager and Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Lemon sewn on the left sleeve. The front of this jersey “NEW YORK” sewn on in navy and white tackle twill block lettering. The back has Mendoza’s number “55” sewn on in navy and white tackle twill. An MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar and a Russell Athletic tag with attached size “48” and “+2 EXTRA LENGTH” flags is sewn on the front left tail above a “YO” tag. The right sleeve has a 2000 World Series patch indicating that this jersey was made ready for that series. Mendoza was not on any of the Yankees’ postseason rosters. This jersey comes with a LOA from Steiner Sports for the game use.
