New York Knicks All-Star power forward Johnny Green wore this blue Knicks shooting shirt circa 1960. The former Michigan State collegian, drafted fifth overall in the 1959 NBA Draft by the Knicks, scored 7.0 points and pulled in 7.8 rebounds per game during the 1959-60 NBA season. Green set a still-standing Knicks franchise record with a 27-rebound game in his rookie campaign. Over an illustrious 14-season career, Green averaged 11.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game with four All-Star appearances as an undersized power forward.
This offered Knicks shooting shirt is a short-sleeved quarter-zip with “KNICKS” sewn across the chest in orange tackle twill. “GREEN” is sewn across the back of the shooting shirt in orange tackle twill. The shooting shirt is accented with orange piping on the sleeves, as well as an orange and blue collar and waistband. This historic NBA item comes with a LOA from Johnny Green himself.
