Hall of Famer and legend Michael Jordan wore this Bulls home white jersey in the 1995-96 NBA season, his first full year back from his sabbatical with the Birmingham Barons Minor League baseball team. Jordan and the Bulls took the NBA by storm that season, as he averaged a league-leading 30.4 points per game and leading the Bulls to another NBA title, the first of a second Three-Peat. The Bulls finished the 1995-96 season with a then-NBA all-time best 72-10 regular season record, the best mark until the Golden State Warriors bested it by one game in 2015-16.
Jordan and the Bulls continued their dominance into the postseason as they dispatched the Miami Heat in three games, the New York Knicks in five games, swept the Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals and knocked off the Seattle SuperSonics in six games to complete the historic season. Counting the regular season and playoffs, the Bulls had an 87-13 record – An overall record that may never be duplicated again.
This brilliant white home jersey features “BULLS” sewn across the front in red and black tackle twill. Jordan’s iconic number “23” is sewn on the front and back in red and black tackle twill. “JORDAN” is sewn across the back shoulders in red and black tackle twill with white, red, and black band rings the collar and sleeve openings of this jersey. An NBA logo patch is sewn on the upper left chest and the Champion size 46 tag, along with a Chicago Bulls logo “DESIGNED & TAILORED 95 96 EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHICAGO BULLS BODY LENGTH +3” tag is sewn on the front left front tail of the jersey. Adding to this already impressive and historic jersey is the black marker signature of Jordan, who signed his name diagonally on the “2” on the back. This jersey displays light use, with puckering on the twill letters and numbers, along with loose threads and evidenc of laundering. This comes with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (200613E2) and noted Chicago Bulls game used jersey expert Alan Mesa for the game use and a LOA from PSA/DNA (AA07619) for the signature.
