After the 2011 MLB season, a team of All-Stars went to Taiwan for a five-game All-Star series against the Taiwanese National team. Curtis Granderson was part of the US squad, and promptly hit a grand slam in the first game. This is Granderson’s helmet used in that series. The single ear flap helmet has the Yankee interlocking “NY” on the front with the number “4” on the brim. Granderson’s number is "14” and it appears the numeral “1” is missing. The left side of the helmet has the MLB “2011 Taiwan” label. Inside has “GRAND” in silver sharpie, The Rawlings size 7 1/8 tag, the warning tag and MLB Authentic hologram. Nice evidence of game use with several scrapes and light areas of green paint from the helmet rack.
