Hall of Fame designated hitter Edgar Martinez spent his entire 18-year career with the Seattle Mariners and in 1997 he batted .330 with 28 home runs and 108 RBI. Martinez used this Rawlings 456A model bat during the 1997 and it displays outstanding game use. This un-cracked bat has many ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers on the barrel. There is an impression from a weighted batting donut and the handle has been taped in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip. The handle and lower barrel have light coating of pine tar and the model number “456A”, order number “121” and year “97” are stamped on the knob. Martinez has signed this bat with a blue marker on the barrel and inscribed “97 Game Used”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18545) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10. There is also a LOA from PSA/DNA (AE91315) for the signature.
