Hall of Fame switch-hitter Eddie Murray spent the 1996 season with the Cleveland Indians and the Baltimore Orioles, the team he started his career with. At the age of 40, Murray was still producing solid numbers as he batted .260 with 22 home runs and 79 RBI. Murray used this Rawlings/Adirondack 456A model bat during the 1996 season. With the stamp on the barrel of “ORIOLES”, the bat was most likely used in the latter half of the 1996 season. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions and white leather scuffs present on the barrel, along with blue ink transfers, cleat imprints and blue bat rack streaks. The upper handle has a moderate coating of pine tar and the bat’s model number “456A”, order number “569” and year “96” are stamped on the knob. Murray’s number “33” is handwritten in silver marker outlined in red on the knob. The Hall of Famer has signed his name in blue marker on the barrel and inscribed “Game Used” and “504/3255”, which was his career home run and hit totals. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18544) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10. There is also a COA from PSA/DNA (AF31860) for the signature.
