Offered in this lot is a white Team USA basketball jersey signed by 12 members of the 2007 FIBA Americas Tournament team. Team USA dominated the competitive tournament, finishing with a 10-0 record to earn a berth in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Basketball Tournament. The United States crushed 2004 Olympic gold medalists Argentina 118-81 in their final game behind LeBron James’ 31-point effort. Carmelo Anthony led Team USA in scoring at 21.6 points per game, while James and Kobe Bryant added 18.1 and 15.3, respectively.
This jersey has been signed by the 12 players on Team USA, including the Hall of Famers Kobe Bryant and Jason Kidd. Additional signatures include LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Amar’e Stoudemire, Deron Williams, Tyson Chandler, Tayshaun Prince, and Michael Redd. The signatures have been written in black marker. The jersey features “U.S.A.” applied to the chest in navy and red tackle twill, while the number “1” is sewn on the chest and back in the same fashion. This jersey comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (AH07300).
