This offered piece of baseball history is from Derek Jeter, one of the grittiest players ever to don the Yankee pinstripes. This game used Derek Jeter Louisville Slugger P72 model bat is from the 1998 season where Jeter led the American League in runs with 127 and finished the season with 203 hits and a loft .324 batting average. Jeter led the Yankees to a franchise record 114 wins and a second World Series title in three seasons.

The nearly unanimously elected Hall of Famer’s bat displays excellent game use and is un-cracked. Jeter helped lead the Yankees to a then-American League best 114-48 regular season record and then went 11-2 in the playoffs to finish with 125 wins and the World Series title. This bat has ball marks, stitch impressions and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. “GENUINE P72 DEREK JETER NEW YORK YANKEES” is prominently stamped on the knob in silver. The Captain has signed his name in silver marker on the barrel between the Louisville Slugger trademark stampe and the “DEREK JETER” stamp. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B06149) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8.5. Additionally, there is a LOA from JSA for Jeter’s signature.
