Los Angeles Angels slugger and three-time National League MVP Albert Pujols wore this red Angels Jackie Robinson Day alternate jersey on April 15th, 2019 against the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Pujols, Los Angeles’ cleanup hitter, knocked in the first run of the game with a sacrifice fly in the first inning before reaching base via walk in the fifth frame, forcing Rangers starter Shelby Miller out of the game. The two-time World Series champion finished the 2019 season with a healthy 23 homers and 93 RBI for the Angels, finishing second on the team in runs batted in behind only perennial MVP candidate Mike Trout.
This offered Angels alternate jersey is a red button-down, with “ANGELS” and “42” sewn on the chest in red, navy, white, and silver tackle twill. A second “42” is sewn on the back in the same fashion. A “42” patch and a white Majestic logo are sewn on the left sleeve, while an Angels logo and MLB 150 logo are sewn on the right sleeve. A Majestic size “52” tag is applied to the front left tail. The side panels and back tail of this jersey are constructed with a red mesh fabric. White-silver-white piping accents the collar and sleeves. Pujols has signed the “4” digit on the back of the jersey in silver marker, inscribing “Game Used 2019” in addition to his signature. This jersey comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JD704032) dating the use of the jersey to the April 15th game, and a STICKER ONLY from Beckett Authentication Services (P61589) for Pujols’ signature.
