Los Angeles Angels first baseman Albert Pujols wore this pair of Nike cleats on July 9th, 2017, against the Texas Rangers at Glove Life Park in Arlington. Pujols crushed the 604th home run of his career, extending his lead atop the active home run leaderboard, in the Angels 3-0 shutout of the Rangers. The three-time National League MVP took Yu Darvish deep to center field in the top of the first inning for his 13th home run of the 2017 season. Pujols drew two walks in the game, one intentional, as JC Ramirez earned his eighth win of the year. Pujols finished the 2017 campaign with 23 homers and a team-high 101 RBI for the American League West runners-up.
These offered Nike cleats are gray and red, with Pujols’ personal logo applied on both tongues. Pujols has signed the toe of both shoes in black marker. The shoes are accompanied by MLB Authenticated holograms (JC369981, JC369980), dating them to the July 9th game, and authentication from Beckett Authentication Services.
