Offered in this lot is a rare pair of Adidas “The Kobe” green developmental sample sneakers. “The Kobe” design was based on the Audi TT sports car, designed “from the outside in” to maximize Kobe Bryant’s basketball abilities. Bryant wore “The Kobe” in 2000, leading the Lakers to the first of three consecutive NBA titles with a six-game defeat of the Indiana Pacers in the 2000 NBA Finals. These offered shoes are green, with purple trim and gray laces. The shoes feature an Adidas factory tag stating a manufacture date of November 8th, 1999.
