Philadelphia 76ers dynamo Allen Iverson wore this black 76ers alternate jersey during his sophomore NBA season of 1997-98. The first overall pick of the 1996 NBA Draft continued to emerge as a future Hall of Famer in his second campaign, averaging 22.0 points, 6.2 assists, and 2.2 steals per game for Larry Brown’s Sixers. Over 12 non-continuous seasons as a 76er, Iverson developed into one of the franchise’s most beloved icons, an undersized volume scorer with the attitude of a much bigger man. Iverson retired after returning to Philadelphia in 2009-10, with his induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame coming in 2016.
This offered 76ers alternate jersey is black, with a large “Sixers” patch sewn on the chest. Iverson’s iconic number “3” is sewn on the chest and back in white and red tackle twill. “IVERSON” is sewn across the back shoulders in the same fashion. A 76ers Body Length +2 tag and a Champion size “42” tags are sewn on the front left tail. An NBA logo patch is sewn on the left chest. This jersey comes with a LOA from the Philadelphia 76ers signed by Pat Croce, who states in his LOA that “I took it off his back in the locker room and I told him I was sending it to you”.
