Michael Jordan not only turned the fortunes of the struggling Chicago Bulls franchise when he entered the league in 1984, “His Airness” also ushered in a new era of basketball with his un-paralleled athleticism and clutch play. Amazingly, Jordan was drafted third overall by the Bulls in 1984 as both the Houston Rockets, who selected Hakeem Olajuwon and Portland Trail Blazers, who selected Sam Bowie, passed on Jordan.
Offered here is a ticket stub from Michael Jordan’s NBA debut game with the Chicago Bulls against the visiting Washington Bullets from October 26, 1984. This blue and white ticket stub measuring 2 x 4 ½ inches has “CHICAGO BULLS VS. WASHINGTON BULLETS FRI OCT 26, 1984 7:30PM” printed on the front. Jordan got off to a fast start in his historic career dropping 16 points in his debut game to help lead the Bulls to a 109-93 victory. The ticket displays edge wear and crease marks, with the left side partially torn.
