This iconic 1965 photograph of a young, chiseled and volatile Muhammad Ali screaming at a decked Sonny Liston to “Get up and fight, sucker!” is even more moving in its size. The raw emotion erupting in the glare of the ring starkly contrasts to the background’s dark. (In fact Ali’s TKO of Liston happened so quickly, many in the crowd hadn’t made their seats yet.)
Ali has signed in the lower left of the picture in vivid silver Sharpie. The signature grades 10. The photo is rolled and suitable for framing. An LOA from PSA/DNA (#3A35429) accompanies this item.
