Marilyn Monroe became one of the most popular sex symbols of the 1950s and early 1960s. She was a top-billed actress for only a decade, but her films, notably “Bus Stop”, “Niagara”, and “Some Like it Hot,” grossed $200 million by the time of her death in 1962. Presented here is a check signed by Marilyn Monroe made out to the Internal Revenue Service in the amount of “$164.20”. The check was dated February 14, 1961 and was drawn from the “Marilyn Monroe Productions, Inc.” account from Bankers Trust Company of 455 Park Avenue in New York City. The check number is 348. Monroe signed here name in blue pen on the signature line in the bottom right corner. This check has been matted in green and framed to a dimension of 34 x 24 inches. Included in the display are three photographs of Monroe, plus a small rendering of a closeup of her. There is a black plate with gold print that reads “Marilyn Monroe JUNE 1, 1926 – AUGUST 5, 1962. This piece comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication for Monroe’s signature. Please note that due to the size and weight of this item, shipping costs will be higher.
