One of the best hitting pitchers of his time, Fernando Valenzuela racked up 187 hits in 936 at-bats for an even .200 average with 10 home runs, 84 RBI, 26 doubles and even hit a triple in his spectacular Rookie of the Year and Cy Young award winning season of 1981. “El Toro,” used this Louisville Slugger model C234 in 1986 when he hit .220 with 4 doubles and 7 RBI. Bat shows excellent use with a good pounding of ball marks, ink transfers and grain separation around the barrel where Valenzuela’s name is engraved in block letters. There are some cleat marks on the handle and remnants of sparse pine tar use. Fernando’s number 34 is written in black marker on the handle; comes with full PSA/DNA letter of authenticity with sticker (#1B05757) affixed to end of barrel.
