Whitey Herzog, a Hall of Fame manager, also enjoyed an eight-year playing career with four different franchises from 1956-1963. This game-used, 31.6-ounce, 35-inch ash Louisville Slugger bat (M110) by Hillerich & Bradsby, labeled sometime between 1961-63 when Herzog played with the Orioles and Tigers, shows extensive use, including a crack and heavy coat of pine tar on the handle. Several ball and stitch marks appear on the bat, and green markings from a bat rack are also visible. Cleat impressions can be seen on the barrel and a “FAVL” notation appears to be written on the knob in black marker. The bat comes with a PSA/DNA LOA.
