Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Among more than 1,000 copies recorded in PSA's census reporting, just one, single example has achieved a higher tier. This entry, card number 68, was withdrawn from production because Fleer didn't have permission to use the image of Red Sox General Manager Bucky Harris, who is pictured on this card with Ted as the star signs his contract for the 1959 season. Ted was such a tremendous "draw" for card manufacturers that companies annually fought for his contract. An aggressive (and no doubt very generous) campaign by Fleer resulted in that company securing his cooperation for its 1959 tribute. This is a boundlessly attractive, essentially unimprovable example of the noteworthy rarity, in stunning Mint condition.
