Very attractive Honus Wagner signed check dating from July 5, 1920, just 3 years after his retirement. Drawn on the First National Bank in his hometown of Carnegie, PA, the 8 1/4” x 3” $75.84 check is in very good condition with no visible folds or tears besides the usual perforated edges. The name “John H. Wagner” is printed along the left border next to an attractive engraving of the First National Bank building. The Hall of Famer has signed in black fountain pen “John H. Wagner”. The “PAID” perforation holes does not affect the ink signature though a faint blue ink bank stamp does overlap part of the “n” and “H”. Letter of Authenticity with cert. number X91876 from JSA.
