Graded MINT 9 by PSA with none graded higher. Hall of Famer. Among a total population of nearly 5,200 White Back examples recorded in PSA's census reporting, fewer than one-half of one percent have attained this specimen's stellar tier. A delightful encore to Topps' 1954 and 1955 acknowledgements of Aaron's potential, this 1956, third-year offering even shares the previous years' portrait illustration. And Hammerin' Hank never looked better! The future Hall of Famer's likeness is virtually flawless, and the card's overall aesthetic is bright, clear, and nothing less than majestic in its presentation. Both of Aaron’s images boast perfect registration and contrast. The borders couldn't possibly have a cleaner or fresher look, and they frame the card's design to perfection within a sharp-cornered rectangle of pure white. The reverse is blemish-free and solidly printed on light, cream-colored cardstock. This is an incredibly satisfying collectible, in indisputable Mint condition.
