No team in sports has had more bad luck than the Boston Red Sox. In 1986, they were on the verge of beating the New York Mets and winning their first Championship since 1918 and ending the “Curse of the Bambino” when First Baseman Bill Buckner failed to field a ground ball, which allowed the Mets to force a Game 7. This lot features the Line-Up cards from Game 1 and Game 5 from Red Sox’s Manager John McNamara, whose handwriting is in blue ink and is very clear and legible, while the names he crossed out are legible as well. COA by James Spence Authentication.
