However, Hubbell is best known for his 1934 All Star game performance when he struck out, in succession, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons and Joe Cronin. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1947. This white ONL Giamatti baseball has been signed “Carl Hubbell HOF 1947” in blue ink on the sweet spot, grading a (“10”).
