The late Joe Frazier thrilled the country with his three epic battles against Muhammad Ali in the 1970s. An Olympic gold medalist and undisputed World Heavyweight Champion, Frazier fought professionally from 1965 - 1976, logging a 32 - 4 - 1 record. His son, Marvis, also fought professionally as a heavyweight contender. When he was a teenager, he won the 1979 National Golden Gloves Heavyweight championship and the 1980 National AAU Heavyweight Championship. This June 1, 1981 edition, titled, "Chip Off the Old Champ" captures bare-chested father and son with gloved hands on hips, staring intently into the camera. Marvis boldly signed in vivid black Sharpie across his image's torso (grade 10). Joe signed on a slant going up his image's torso in vivid black Sharpie (grade 10). The signatures have been authenticated with a COA from James Spence Authenticators (#A34799).
