One of a limited edition set of 521 lithographs in the Decathlon Sports Prints Series signed by iconic Hall of Famer Ted Williams and artist C. [Cliff] Spohn; a full-color, tri-image portrait numbered 270/521, commemorating Williams’s 270th of his 521 career home runs. This 18” x 24” print depicts the great Boston Red Sox hitter in two at-bat positions overlapped by a close-up portrait, and is signed "Ted Williams" in black ink. Informational inscriptions filling in the season's home run number “27”, date is was hit “5-5-50”, the opponent “Chicago” and park “Fenway” all performed in Williams" own hand. Williams’ two-run blast in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the Red Sox a 4-2 lead in a game the team would eventually win 5-2. Print is also signed and numbered by artist Cliff Spohn, is handsomely matted in a 23.5” x 30.5” frame and comes with full LOA from James Spence Authentication, certification #B52352.
