James Earl Ray has hand signed this 2”x4” paper which has been matted to a size of slightly larger than 4”x6”. The “Scales of Justice” and what looks to be a calligraphy inscription reading “A Rule of Law” are above the black ink signature of Ray. James Earl Ray was convicted of the April 4th, 1968 assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. and was sentenced to 99 years in prison, where he died on April 23rd, 1998.
