The player who established the “Ironman” standard in baseball, Cal Ripken Jr., began as the AL Rookie of the Year in 1982, earned two AL MVP Awards, and appeared in 19 consecutive All-Star games during his 21 season career.
This Authentic Collection button-down jersey by Majestic has been boldly signed by Ripken in black Sharpie on the back # 8 and added the inscriptions “Ironman” and “2007 Hall of Fame.”
The size-44 jersey itself bears the black-trimmed orange tackle-twill “Orioles” and “8” on the front, with “RIPKEN” and “8” stitched to the back. Sleeve cuffs are trimmed in black piping. The embroidered Oriole and majestic logos are on the left sleeve, and embroidered commemorative “100 AL Seasons” patch adorns the right sleeve. On outside the rear of the collar is an embroidered American Flag patch.
