A star shortstop in the Nippon Professional Baseball League, in 2013 Kawasaki became the Blue Jays’ first Japanese-born position player. Worn during the Armed Forces tribute game on May 27, 2013 against the Braves, this special one-game-only jersey sports the traditional Blue Jays logo in camouflage across the front. The Blue Jay mascot appears below that in its regular red, white and blue colors and blue and white trim rings the sleeve edges. Majestic label is sewn in the lower right front tail with the additional “44” size tag. The back of the white home jersey has “KAWASAKI” and his number “66” in camouflage tackle twill. The MLB batter logo patch is sewn to the back of the neck above the name. The jersey shows very light use. MLB hologram sticker number EK661665 is affixed to the bottom of the “6”.
