The Yankee Clipper spent his entire 13-year career patrolling centerfielder in the House that Ruth Built. DiMaggio never failed to earn annual All-Star honors and won three AL MVP awards. The Yankees won 10 American League pennants and nine World Series during those 13 seasons. Indeed, "where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio?" DiMaggio has boldly signed the poster below his image in black Sharpie (grade 10). This 21.25" x 29.25" print displays "Joltin' Joe" swinging against a backdrop of Yankee Stadium bleacher. It is impressionistic, with DiMaggio's swinging image comprised of slashing swirls of silver, blue and red and the bleacher a light gray-blue. The 40" x 30" frame is lustrous cherry wood. The poster is matted in textured blue and maroon, embossed with "Joseph Paul DiMaggio/The Yankee Clipper," and encased behind glass. It is numbered 565 of 750 of the Signature One Series (and includes an official seal of this series) and signed by the artist.
