The 2004 Auburn Tigers ended their regular season 12-0 but did not play in the BCS Championship game. They went to the Sugar Bowl where they beat the Virginia Tech Hokies to finish the season 13-0, declaring themselves National Champions. It is interesting that the USC Trojans, who beat Oklahoma in the BCS title game, has their championship vacated due to the Reggie Bush scandal. This size 11-1/2 and 34 gram solid 10K gold ring was presented to reserve corner back David Irons. Top has the “AU” school symbol surrounded in CZ diamonds, with “NATIONAL CHAMPIONS 13-0 2004” in raised relief on the perimeter. One shank has “IRONS” with the team helmet and his number “6.” Other shank has “TIGERS,” the phrase “HARD FIGHTING SOLDIER” and “SEC CHAMPIONS.” This Balfour manufactured ring is engraved inside with “DAVID IRONS” and “Balfour 10K.” This is a great ring from a National Championship, and the only legitimate undefeated team from 2004. Excellent condition with light wear along the ring band. Comes with signed letter from David Irons.
