This PSA/DNA pre-certified business records binder includes more than 100 business and legal documents all signed by Pete Rose chronicling much of the “Hit King’s” business interests and life outside of baseball including articles of incorporation for Pete Rose Enterprises Inc. filed by Rose’s long time attorney and agent Reuven J. Katz on Feb. 12, 1973 and Rose’s ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT OF AGENT, declaring Reuven J Katz as said agent, signed twice by Katz first as a representative of Pete Rose Enterprises and again at the bottom accepting the appointment.
The first of the 100 Rose signatures contained in this volume is on an AUTORIZATION OF CORPORATE ACTION IN LIEU OF FIRST MEETING OF SHAREHOLDER approving two actions including: “The fixing of the number of directors at two (2) and the election of the following persons as directors of the company: Peter Edward Rose [and] Hyman Ullner,” Rose’s full name is formally signed at the bottom, “Peter Edward Rose.”
The volume continues to contain all documents relative to Pete Rose Enterprises, i.e. AUTHORIZATION OF CORPORATE ACTION IN LIEU OF FIRST MEETING OF DIRECTORS, CORPORATE RESOLUTION(S), CONSENT AND APPROVAL OF DIRECTORS, SUBSCRIPTION TO SHARES, PROCEEDINGS OF INCORPORATORS, etc.
This 142-page binder provides an intimate look into Rose’s business dealings of and comes with a letter dated 11/15/2009 signed by Rose certifying “The over 100 documents contained in this archive are authentic and were hand-signed by myself between 1973 and 1991.”
All of the signatures are original, 74 of them are signed Peter Edward Rose, 25 are signed Pete Rose and 1 is signed Pete E Rose.
Many of the documents are of course also signed by Katz who Rose counted among his closest friends:
“Katz had been a father figure to me ever since my dad passed away. He handled all of my finances and business ventures and provided me with some much needed moral support. ...Ever since losing my father, Reuven had been a trusted friend -- my go-to-guy," wrote Rose is his autobiography My Prison without Bars.
This is a completely unique one of a kind item providing perhaps the largest collection of Rose signatures in one piece.
