Baseball movie buffs may recall Pete Rose’s cameo appearance as Ty Cobb in the 1991 made for TV movie, Babe Ruth, starring Stephen Lang in the title role, but Rose’s television experience goes back much further. This Screen Actors Guild (SAG) application information page was filled out in an unknown hand on January 12, 1977 in advance of dozens of television commercial appearances Rose would make for products like; Aqua Velva after-shave (an Aqua Velva commercial is listed as Rose’s experience on the application), Swanson’s Hungry Man Dinners, Geritol and Atari. His first wife Karolyn also appeared in some of the commercials. This four-page application contains personal Rose information and one authentic Rose signature. Four other signature of the all-time hit king appear, three of them being secretarial signatures and one being a stamp. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
