In 1975, rookies Jim Rice and Fred Lynn (known as “The Gold Dust” twins) helped lead the Boston Red Sox to their first World Series since 1967. Unfortunately, Rice was injured the last week of the regular season and was unable to play against the Big Red machine, forever forcing Red Sox fans to ask, “What if?” Rice was second in the American League that season in the Rookie of the Year voting, and third in the MVP voting, both behind his fellow rookie teammate. This lot of five PSA Graded cards is from the underappreciated seen 1975 SSPC set, and is the only full photo rookie card issued of Rice. These cards are all practically GEM MINT, perfect in every respect. Lot of Five cards all PSA Graded MINT 9.
