Offered here is a great New York Yankees filled out of lineup card for the September 19, 1998 game against the Orioles at Camden Yards in Baltimore. Little did anyone know that this would be the last of Cal Ripken Jr.’s 3,262 consecutive game streak. The 10 x 15-inch lineup card has been filled out by hand on the front in black marker and features the starting lineups for both Baltimore and New York along with their available bench players and bullpen staffs. The left column has “N.Y. YANKEES” and “POS”, while the right side has “OPPONENT” and “POS”. The Yankees lineup that day (in order) Knoblauch, Jeter, O’Neill, Williams, Martinez, Davis, Strawberry scribbled out (Raines Brosius below) and Girardi (Posada below). The Orioles lineup had Alomar, Anderson, Davis scribbled out (Becker below), Palmeiro, Pickering, Ripken, Surhoff, Hoiles and Bordick. The sheet has various ink marks and cross-outs due to them both being a working document that was updated as the historic game proceeded. This card has edge wear, but no fold marks and is overall good condition. This lineup card has recently been signed in blue pen by Cal at the top and inscribed "Final Game of the Streak" and comes directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. and a signed LOA from Cal will accompany this item.
