Presented here is a premier New York Yankees collectible. Famed artist Steve Wolf has meticulously handcrafted this large replica of the old Yankee Stadium. The stadium was designed to honor the final game played at the venerable ballpark on September 21st, 2008. The Yankees closed out the 85-year run of the stadium by defeating the Baltimore Orioles 7-3. Between the original design and the 1970’s renovation, the Yankees recorded 26 World Series titles when calling the original Yankee Stadium home. Wolf’s meticulous work took him roughly 1800 hours to complete.

This model rests on a custom-built white table stand that measures 43 ½ x 35 ¼ x 14 inches and has dark blue plates on each side that read “The Final Game at Yankee Stadium Built by Steve Wolf 2009 Yankees 7 Orioles 3 * September 21, 2008”. A Yankees logo and Yankee Stadium 1923-2008 logo are on the sides. From the tan exterior, the famed façade, the green grass and blue seats, the attention to detail on this piece is stunning. There is the see-through fence in left field, the bullpens, monument park and the scoreboard. This even includes the black painted seats in center field, along with all of the advertising that was on display during the final home game. There’s even the scoreboard announcement that reads “TONIGHT’S ATTENDANCE IS THE TOTAL ATTENDANCE IN THE 95 YEAR HISTORY OF YANKEE STADIUM 151,959,005 THANK YOU TO THE BEST BASEBALL FANS IN THE WORLD!!!”.

There is a custom Yankees’ logo embedded into the custom-designed air brushed field surface, along with custom electronic design that was created by Steve Wolf using 250 LEDs that were used to simulate the Yankee Stadium roof rim lighting. Also included with this piece is a custom ¾-inch thick glass cover that measures 41 x 33 x 10 inches and provides a perfect protective cover, while still being able to enjoy the beauty of the design for display. All of the LEDs are in working order and there is a photocopy letter from Major League Models that authenticates this magnificent piece. If the winning bidder so chooses, Steve Wolf is available to be hired (at the winning bidder’s cost) to make any changes on the outfield walls or scoreboard, or to build a larger table. This impressive lot comes with a LOA from the artist Steve Wolf. Please note that due to the size and weight of this item, special delivery arrangements will have to be made and shipping costs will be higher.
